Rose Cook

rose-picRose is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Education, University College London. A quantitative sociologist, her research interests are in educational inequalities, gender and education, adult basic skills, assessment and international comparisons. Her PhD research focuses on gender differences in cognitive skills internationally using data from the OECD international adult skills survey (PIAAC). Before starting the PhD, Rose worked as a researcher at the National Foundation for Educational Research, which conducts educational research and evaluation for the public and charity sectors.
