Kloé works for the EU office of Saferworld, an international conflict prevention and peace-building organisation. She leads and coordinates Saferworld’s policy and advocacy on conflict prevention and peace-building approaches at the EU level, with a thematic focus on conflict sensitive development, security and justice, peace and sustainable development, peace-building approaches to counter-terrorism as well as arms transfer conrtols. In the framework of her work on arms transfers, she is the Europe Regional Coordinator for the Control Arms network. Kloé also supports the advocacy efforts of Saferworld’s country programmes, specifically that are located in the MENA region and the Horn of Africa.
Kloé joined Saferworld as a Policy and Advocacy Assistant for the Small Arms and Transfer Control team where her work mainly focussed on European and international arms export controls. Prior to starting at Saferworld, Kloé worked at the Research and Information Group on Peace and Security (GRIP) in Brussels, where she wrote several policy reports on the European Union’s common rules controlling arms exports and arms brokering. Kloé holds an MA in War Studies from King’s College London and an MA in International Relations from Université Libre de Bruxelles.
