Kathy Hetherington

kathyhKathy Hetherington graduated from University of Ulster in 2014 with a 1st in BSc Hons Physiotherapy and began her PhD studies in the same year in Respiratory Medicine. Her doctoral thesis is investigating biomarker profiles, phenotyping and electronic monitoring in difficult asthma. She has coordinated a UK-wide programme concentrating on the inhaled steroid response for the past year, and is on the brink of initiating both quantitative and qualitative studies within this population of uncontrolled asthmatics. She has published and presented her PhD findings-to-date across the world and hopes to continue this research after completing her PhD.
